Thought I would add an entry seeing as no-one has for some time now!Our annual Reunion Dinner is fast approaching so watch for a reminder from the Webmaster about venue and date!
This is a great event and gives us the opportunity to meet up with former shipmates who we thought we would never meet again. It is a very relaxing and informal affair so try and make it along!

Hello to everybody. Sailed with SSM from 1975 to 1986. This is the first time I've looked at the website. Presently on North Sea Supply ships (Sealion Shipping).
I have only just stumbled upon SSM while looking up some shipping history through Lloyds registory. I had attempted to look up info on SSM in the past without success. Although I never served with SSM ships I was made very welcome on board a number of your vessels which called into Geraldton in the late sixties and early seventies. Cape Sable, Baron Refrew, Baron Cawder, Cape Horn, Cape Grafton and Cape Hawk. I remember an evening with first mate Gregor McGregor (a wild man). We were entertained by some good friends of mine who were fishermen and who were also expatriot Scotties (Urquart). What a night. If anyone remembers Gregor you can imagine.I later had great pleasure in meeting Dave Coe, 2nd mate, Cape Hawk and also
Alec Harbinson. Dave and one of the other mates gave me some good info for 1st and 2nd mates examinations. At the time I was studying for my coastal trade certificate.
Later on I served as skipper on pilot launches and survey vessels in Port Hedland and mate and
Authur, great to hear from you, still in Aussie I see. I remember I was a dab hand with a shovel that trip!
Many happy memories of times both afloat and ashore with SSM. Still recall that voyage on the Baa-aaron Napier of Scottish Sheep Management when we took all those sheep from Fremantle to Jeddah. It was different!
