Hi,I am the great great grandson of Hugh Hogarth (senior), great grandson of Samuel Hogarth and grandson of Hugh Hogarth. I was born in 1979, sadly 7 years before the demise of SSM. Fantastic to see my family's heritage chronicled, I'm very grateful, as I've always wished that the company might have survived and I might have got involved.

This email is to confirm that I have been successful in contacting Greg Copley. Archer
Commenced seafaring with H Hogarth as Baron Line deck apprentice in 1965 sailing on Baron Kinnaird and Baron Maclay. Then with SSM from 1968 sailing on Cape Nelson, Baron Inverforth as third mate; Baron Cawdor, Baron Forbes, Virgilia as second mate till 1971. Since then I have had a varied seagoing career and have recently retired. My quest is to find and contact my fellow deck apprentice Greg Copley whose message and email address is listed on the original guestbook back in June 2003. I have sent him emails but have had no response to date. Can anyone help? Many thanks. Archer.
