Hi, Enjoyed looking at the site especially the old ships and what has happened to them.I was an engineer cadet between 1979 - 1983 .I was on the Ortegal , Trafalger and Belhaven before I left in late '83 after I was made up to Junior Engineer.I am currently working on an F.P.S.O. in the north sea called the Hawene Brim for bluewater as an Mechanical Technician.It would be great to hear from anyone whom I sailed with and remembers me.I have some great memories and still some photo's ! of my trips deepsea with S.S.M. Great site, Joined SSM 1980 as deck cadet, there untill the Race and Belhaven were taken over by Denholms had some great times. Now master with Coblefret ferries between Dartford and Zeebrugge.
